ACF and slideshows

Add a slideshow/slider, instead of a static feature image at the top of the page

5 steps are required:

1. Install a plugin called Advanced Custom Fields (click link to find out more)
2. Install a plugin called Master Slider (click link to find out more)
3. Activate both plugins
4. Download this json file and navigate to Custom Fields > Tools > “Import Field Groups” to import this file
5. Then, choose this special template when creating a new page:

• ACF PLUGIN ONLY – slideshow (this page has this template selected)
• ACF PLUGIN ONLY Full feature image + custom sidebar
• ACF PLUGIN ONLY Boxed feature image + custom sidebar

These extra options only show if you follow the steps above

Boxed slideshow

Unlike the 2 templates we’ve provided, you can choose boxed or full width slideshows within the MasterSlider plugin settings.

Set the width to 1170 and the Slide sizing method to “Boxed layout” as per this image.

! Don’t see this field? Try one of the following:

• Make sure the template you have selected is either one of the 3 in step 5 above.
• Click refresh if you still do not see it after making sure your page is using one of the 3 templates in step 5
• Make sure you have the latest version of WordPress and the latest version of ACF plugin
• Still don’t see it? Turn off all your Plugins except the ACF plugin and find the Plugin that is stopping the ACF plugin from working.

! If you use these templates without installing the ACF plugin, then the templates in step 5 above will appear broken
