There are dozens of different ways to help your site show in search engines, but make sure this is ticked/unticked as a starter:
Login > Settings > Reading > Discourage search engines from indexing this site > Tick or Untick
Make link search engine/visually friendly

If this option is available for you, we would suggest you change your permalinks to POST NAME.
Login > Settings > Permalinks > Post Name
If you have access to the update buttons for both the WordPress Core and Plugins, routinely update them to avoid issues down the line. You cannot avoid the WordPress Core update message once you login. If you cannot see this, then your Administrator can, and should update this on your behalf.
